Our exclusive design allows you to easily project at any angle. A convenient tilting hinge enables GV1’s high-mounted lens to produce 100” images anywhere while the auto keystone feature keeps the picture perfectly squared.
GV1 weighs only 708g(1.6 lbs) and is about the size of a coffee cup or a water bottle. This allows you to enjoy big-screen mobile entertainment anywhere.
Wire-free connectivity with dual-band 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi, along with direct hotspot, works easily together to enhance your mobile wireless projection experience.
GV1’s do-it-all USB-CTM port works with your cable that supports DP 1.4 and DP Alt mode to stream media and charge your mobile device. It can even play media files from a flash drive.
Robust 5-watt chambered audio turns GV1 into a portable Bluetooth speaker.
Enjoy movies, music, games or other contents from various apps directly from the smart GV1.
Get started
There are 3 modes for you to connect, cast or mirror contents via GV1 wireless projection.
Connect your mobile device and GV1 to your router and share your contents hassle-free using your home network.
Turn on the Wi-Fi Hotspot on your iPhone or Android phone, connect the projector to it and start your wireless projection.
*Note: When connecting outdoor, Internet speed may differ depending on the reception of the area.
Turn on the Wi-Fi Hotspot on the projector and connect your mobile device to it to start sharing photos and videos via wireless projection.
*Note: In this setting your mobile device can neither connect to external networks via your 4G cellular network nor stream contents online. Only pictures or videos stored in your mobile device can be streamed to the projector.
Video streaming requires higher bandwidth. Check on the stability of your Internet connection before viewing.
1. Setting your router to 5G network is suggested as video streaming requires higher bandwidth. Avoid using low bandwidth channel of 2.4G as it may interfere with other electrical appliances. Place your projector and router within close distance or maximize your Wi-Fi router’s transmit power to 100%. Purchasing a router with higher transmit power is also an option.
*GV1 supports 5G CH36~CH48 (Band 1)
**Some countries or regions may prohibit civilian devices from using certain Wi-Fi channels due to security concerns. As BenQ projectors comply with the local regulations, certain Wi-Fi routers may not be found on specific channels. Therefore you are suggested to use 5G CH36~CH48 (Band 1).
2. Avoid connecting multiple devices to one Wi-Fi router at the same time for it may affect viewing quality with the instability of Internet connection.
3. In order to have better streaming quality, we suggest an Internet connection of at least 35MBps.
*Streaming quality may be affected if you are simultaneously downloading contents on your device.
1. GV1 supports Chromecast & AirPlay.

1. Make sure both the projector and the laptop are under the same wireless network.
2. Google Cast on PC or Laptop via Google Chrome Browser.
-1. Visit the Netflix website. On your Google Chrome browser select “Customize and Control Google Chrome”.
-2. Select "Cast Tab”- > Choose BenQ projector model number-xxxx - > Start Google Cast on the Chrome tab. Select Both Screens on the pop-up window. You should be able to watch big screen Netflix content via the projector.
Watch with Apple TV/SETUP BOX/Game Console with HDMI to USB-C adaptor that is included, or stream content via USB-C Gen3.1 cable from other devices.
To enjoy the movies, music, or even immerse in the gaming thrill, just install the smart apps* to unleash the endless fun from the wireless.
Always keep your GV1 up-to-date with the latest streaming apps, display drivers, software and firmware via OTA (Over-the-Air) live updates.
GV1 streams videos, games, or music via dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth from your mobile*, PC and laptop devices, making it truly cable-free. Even when there’s no signal, it has its own Wi-Fi hotspot to stream wirelessly from your device’s local storage.
* Due to the content protection mechanism for the subscription-based streaming platform, please note that “mobile devices” cannot “mirror” the content of certain streaming services (such as Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc.), but you can watch the content via a laptop or use the HDMI cable.
With the latest phones, tablets and laptops switching to USB-C, you can also connect to GV1’s single USB-C port. This handy port can also simultaneously charge your device or play videos and music from a USB flash drive.
Media Streaming
Using DisplayPort over USB-C*, GV1 can stream videos, games and music from smart devices.
*Make sure your cable supports DP 1.4 and DP Alt mode for visual transmitting. Some may only provide functions such as charging.
**Output device must also support DisplayPort Alternate mode (DP Alt mode)
Power Supply
GV1 supplies power* to your mobile device, which means it can charge your device while you’re enjoying your streaming media.
*Power supplying is only available when GV1 power adapter is plugged in.
USB Reader
GV1’s USB-C port is also a media reader that can play movies, videos and music directly from a USB flash drive*.
*USB Type-A to Type-C adapters can be used to increase flexibility to read any USB drive.
HDMI to USB-C Adapter
HDMI to USB-C Adapter also allows you to connect the HDMI devices such as notebook, Blu-ray and Apple TV to GV1 with Type-C interface.
GV1 has a convenient hinge so you can adjust the projected image’s height for a perfect view every time. Its 15˚ range means that the 100” projected image can be raised up to 30.32 inches (Max) above the level where GV1 is placed.
When projecting at an upward angle, the image will be distorted into a trapezoid instead of rectangular. Vertical keystone keeps images straight and square, and GV1 does it automatically.
GV1’s advanced LED projection light source lasts 30,000 hours for years of spontaneous instant-on entertainment. Its LED-powered high brightness showcases big-screen entertainment up to 100”.
GV1 becomes a battery-operated portable Bluetooth speaker at the touch of a button, bringing crystal clear music wherever you go. Its powerful 5-watt chambered speaker fills the room, all without any wires.
GV1’s 3-hour battery life gives you plenty of time to enjoy full-length feature films with friends and family, catch up on your favorite shows, tune in to the big game, or even play one yourself on the big screen.
GV1 weighs only 708g(1.6lbs) and is about the same size as a venti cup of coffee. GV1 comes with USB-C cable, remote control, power cord, HDMI to USB-C adapter, and a protective fitted bag designed to simply carry the projector.
