Bringing people together

After considering other collaborative solutions, Zoi turned to a UK-based Google Cloud partner, Generation Digital, to look at Google’s Jamboard, a 4K Ultra High Definition(UHD) touch-enabled device designed to enhance collaboration in the enterprise work place without complicated set-up or training.

Generation Digital identified the Jamboard as the perfect device for Zoi’s needs. The simple ‘plug and play’ nature of the screen made it perfect for them to adopt and immediately start embracing it within the company’s culture.

“We wanted a screen that had no barriers to use. It needed to be a solution that our customers could simply get on with and use quickly. The Jamboard gave us exactly this. Our customers were able to ‘jam’ without registering for an account and it fitted perfectly with the company’s new digital business approach,” comments Hermann.

Shipping to customers

The Jamboard has quickly become such an integral part of the company’s work processes that a screen was shipped to Zoi’s customer Kärcher, a global leader in cleaning technology, to help drive creativity during meetings. It also enabled Zoi and Kärcher to work more closely together, helping decisions to be made quickly and without delay.

Now, with Jamboards in both Winnenden and Berlin offices, Kärcher and Zoi can easily work together in real-time to align activities and next steps to for example develop new business models.

“The video conferencing and sticker features are used most often in our meetings. Being able to see the people we’re ‘jamming’ with is key to making our meetings successful.The file integration into Google Drive means the sessions can be instantly saved and shared among the attendees of that meeting,” continues Hermann.

To further enhance the Jamboard’s video conferencing feature, Zoi also uses Google’s Hangouts Meet hardware. It works with the Jamboard to create headache-free engaging HD meetings.

Growing with the Jamboard

“With both our Stuttgart and Berlin offices using the Jamboard on a daily basis, we’ve realised that we can have offices in various locations far apart but the team can still work as one,” says Hermann.

With the Jamboard at the heart of its infrastructure, Zoi plans to become an international company with more offices to open internationally.

“Zoi’s vision is to continue using Jamboards across all our international offices, creating a global company that works as one team. We believe our ‘jamming’ sessions help us plan, rollout and complete projects more quickly as we’re able to work in a collaborative environment that drives creativity.
