When installing Display Pilot software on MacBook, why does a "DisplayPilot can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software" warning pop up?

This is a normal warning message for all software installations that have not been explicitly certified by Apple. It does not mean your MacBook is at risk. Click OK to ignore this message. Right-click the program and select Open to launch.
